Country Information

   Cuba is the largest island in the carribean.  It is located between the Carribean Sea and the North Atlantic Ocean and 90 miles south of Key West, Florida.  It is 42,803 sq. miles and slightly smaller than Pensylvania.
The island has a population of over 12,000,000.  The main language spoken is Spanish. 
The current government type is Comunist/Socialist.  They have been in this regime since January 1, 1959. 
The capital is Havana, which is also one of the major tourist cities. 
The current president is Raul Castro, who still continues in the same beliefs as his brother and former president, Fidel Castro.
